<- 1995, NCIMB 13259 (Rhodococcus rhodochrous). Isolated from: waste from chemical production plant, Germany. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR; demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus ruber IEGM 70^T. Properties: uses styrene, toluene, ethylbenzene (132), propane and n-butane as sole carbon source; degrades paracetamol (265). (Medium 5, 28^oC).
