Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 7T(96). Properties: uses normal and aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, oxybenzene, technical xylol) as sole carbon source; degrades aromatic acids (m-oxybenzoic, p-oxybenzoic) (92). (Medium 8 or 16, 17, 18, 28oC).
