Properties: uses hydrocarbons as sole carbon source; degrades o-phthalic acid esters (dimethylterephthalate, monomethylterephthalate) and aromatic acids (m-oxybenzoic, p-oxybenzoic) (92); produces biosurfactants when growing on n-alkanes (C12-C17) (74). (Medium 8 or 11, 14, 28oC).
